The Secret to these Brussels Sprouts is that the leaves are individually peeled and sauteed…..so tender and sweet!
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs Brussels Sprouts
- 4 slices of bacon (optional if vegetarian)
- 1 red onion
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
Directions
- Prepare the brussels sprouts, slice the end of each brussel sprout so you can peel each leaf off the core.
- Add two tablespoons to pan and saute the onion and bacon. Add sprout leaves and toss gently, add remaining oil and cook for 3 or 4 minutes until leaves are heated through.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
