The Secret to these Brussels Sprouts is that the leaves are individually peeled and sauteed…..so tender and sweet!

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs Brussels Sprouts
  • 4 slices of bacon (optional if vegetarian)
  • 1 red onion
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions

  1. Prepare the brussels sprouts, slice the end of each brussel sprout so you can peel each leaf off the core.
  2. Add two tablespoons to pan and saute the onion and bacon.  Add sprout leaves and toss gently, add remaining oil and cook for 3 or 4 minutes until leaves are heated through.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve immediately.
