Welcome!   I am so thrilled you have visited and I hope you are inspired to cook today!

About Me

My name is Gail Pearce and I am a passionate home cook who has a love for food, cooking and bringing others together to share a delicious meal.  I am inspired by healthy, whole foods and I create recipes that celebrate these ingredients.  I enjoy making food taste good using natural ingredients.

Although I am not a vegetarian, I have created some favourite vegetarian dishes and most of my dishes are wheat and refined sugar free, but everything can be adapted to suit you and your guests.

I believe eating is a rich, rich experience and love to set a beautiful table in anticipation of what is about to come.

My Philosophy

Food and cooking is a delicious fine ART.

On my site, you will find food that I have made in my home kitchen, from scratch, with a focus on accessible recipes that take advantage of fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients, when possible.

You will find some seriously delicious recipes here that are not too complicated to make. I always begin with real food ingredients and stay away from overly processed foods, preservatives and anything with artificial ingredients.

I want to inspire you to entertain at home with ideas that will make it easy and stress free.

In terms of photography, this is another passion for me.   I take all the photos of my food with minimal styling.  What you see is what we eat and this gives you a good expectation of what the finished dish looks like.

Silly things about me.

  • I am in love with the most amazing man in the Universe.
  • I am distracted by shiny objects.
  • Life for me is about the next dinner party.
  • I love sailing and entertaining on my sailboat.
  • I am obsessed with my trainer and love morning workouts.
  • I love hikes and smelling the fragrance of the trees.
  • My house is many shades of white, clean lines.
  • I am obsessed with photographing the moments and food in my life.
  • One of my favourite things to do at the end of a day is to enjoy a bubble bath, add a glass of wine, stir in some beautiful music, and make a list of everything I am grateful for – done!
  • I love food and I love to cook!

Elegant Entertaining is the practise of dining with pleasure and elegance!

Elegant entertaining is all about celebrating what you can do with delicious seasonal ingredients that are organic for the most part.  I strive to make beautiful, elegant, simple table settings and fabulous events that are easily replicated.   Entertaining is about fun filled, memorable, relaxed parties.

We love to combine entertaining and clean eating to offer our guests the ultimate delicious dining experience!

Entertaining is really about making people feel special, and showing them that you’re honored they’re spending time with you.  The delicious food, well planned menu, the lit candles, beautiful table setting, the warm greeting—it’s all a way to convey happiness.  The key is to keep it simple and to enjoy yourself!

  • Create a feeling in your décor and menu – think of the experience you want your guests to take away from the evening.
  • Walk in your guests shoes – walk through your home and visualize it as a guest, nice candle lit rooms, delightful ambience.
  • Greet guests with a cocktail.
  • Serve amazing, delicious tasting food – it does not have to be fuzzy – but delicious!
  • Be flexible – part of throwing a party is evolving with it, to know when to bring out the food, know when energy is starting to wane – be intuitive about when people are ready for a change.
  • Enjoy yourself and your guests!

Eating Clean is a passion for us!  It is a good way to refresh your eating habits: it’s about eating more of the best and healthiest options in each of the food groups—and eating less of the not-so-healthy ones. That means embracing foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains, plus healthy proteins and fats. It also means cutting back on refined grains, added sugars, salt and unhealthy fats.

Eating clean is simply the practice of avoiding processed and refined foods and basing your diet on whole foods.

Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy!!
