I absolutely love Valentine’s Day or any day for that matter when I can share a romantic time with M. It is so much fun planning a generous valentines dinner for your special someone and no reservations are needed at your table! It’s fun to go all out and create a memorable dinner that is all about your story together. Make it beautiful and meaningful to you!

The Planning

Whether you cook a special meal or whether you order in your favourite take-out, make the evening special by taking the time to plan and set the scene with delicious food, a beautiful table setting, romantic candles and music.

When you are planning your menu, make it personal, think of places you have traveled to or family favourite dishes that will inspire your menu choices.

The Setting

You can certainly take inspiration from your menu for your table theme (Mexican, Japanese, Thai theme), but also think of changing it up. One year I set my dinner in front of the fireplace! And the funny thing, it snowed that year and it made for a very romantic, very cozy time.

Here’s a simple menu with recipes:

Prawn Provencal to get the dinner started! prawns
Amazing Thai Green Curry Chicken to spice things up! https://www.elegant-entertaining.com/thai-green-curry-paste/
Decadent Cheesecake to sweeten the mood. https://www.elegant-entertaining.com/cheesecake-with-berry-sauce/

Whatever you choose for your theme and food make it delicious, have fun and enjoy every single minute of your special time together. Happy Valentine’s!
